John Scalzi è tra i più importanti e acclamati scrittori di fantascienza emersi nell’ultimo decennio. 

Nato in California nel 1969, vive in Ohio, dove tiene un blog molto seguito: whatever.scalzi.com. 

Autore bestseller per il New York Times, ha vinto nel 2006 il premio John W. Campbell come miglior esordiente. Candidato tre volte all’Hugo con la serie Old Man’s War, si è aggiudicato il prestigioso premio con Uomini in rosso. I diritti di Il collasso dell’impero sono stati acquistati dalla Working Title TV, produttrice di numerose serie tv di successo.
